SAN FRANCISCO, CA – In an effort to bolster sagging tourism around the San Francisco area, city leaders decided to release an app that allows users to track the poop in and around the city and win some really cool prizes at the same time. “City leaders thought we were crazy at first,” said Albie Pinkus, the creative genius behind the app. “I mean who would want to go around looking for shit?” It turns out that a lot of people are willing to scour the city looking for just that when they have a chance to win really great prizes such as a lifetime supply of Nitrile gloves, three dozen water resistant shoe covers, a gift certificate for $35 off your next hepatitis screening test, and much more. Senator Nancy Pelosi applauded her districts initiative. “It’s a win-win for the city,” Pelosi said. “Tourism will go up this summer and people will get a birds eye view of our city.” For those who are mobile phone challenged, don’t worry, city leaders are working on getting paper maps printed and these are expected to be available in mid July. Each map will include pre-marked shit spots around the city. Players will be able to locate game pieces (bring your own shovel) at these locations. The first 300 people to complete their map with all of the game pieces will win a prize. One winner will be chosen at random to become an honorary shit picker upper around the city for the day and receive a tin plated shovel with their name imprinted on it.
