QUEENS, NY – While Cardi B may put on a brave face for fans on the heels of Friday’s grand jury indictment, behind closed doors the recent 2019 BET Awards winner and Grammy nominated raptress and hip hop artist has decided to start prepping for prison life just in case her attorneys f**k up her court case. “She may talk smack in public,” said public relations spokesman Dion Young, “but behind closed doors Cardi is scared.” Enough so that her assistant was seen at a local Best Buy purchasing the entire series of the popular television show Orange is the New Black, a fictionalized account of Piper Kerman’s experiences at a minimum-security federal prison. Meanwhile fans are rallying in support of Cardi B and her new found interest in the hit NetFlix series and are offering suggestions about which persona may best fit Cardi’s eccentric personality should she have to spend some time behind bars. “I think Cardi would be great as Nicky in prison,” said Angelina Guaracione. “I mean Cardi was all grinding on her husband at that awards show and I can totally see Nicky doing something like that too.” Other fans said they would love Cardi to be like Poussey, Crazy Eyes or even Sister Jane if she does spend time in the slammer. But those in Cardi’s inner circle know that no matter what happens Cardi will come out of it on top, like she always does. “Jail time aint gonna get her down,” said Sadie Sway, a distant cousin. “Cardi will get it handled no matter what happens.” A court date has not been set but fans are already getting their “Free Cardi,” signs ready to show their support for the singer.
